Google X Nest

Software and Experience Design

This project was split into two parts, the first was creating a software for tablet devices where different Google Nest departments could view analytics and data relating to the experience portion displayed within Lowe’s. I created this software with the Accounting department in mind, considering what analytics they’d need to see such as revenue, demographics, and inventory.

After creating the software, I then thought of a way to promote these products through an interactive experience. I came up with a scavenger hunt / escape room experience where consumers can walk through a home with an iPad that prompts them to interact with the Google Nest products. This experience design was split further into another two deliverables: the iPad deliverable (designing the process a user might go through to get to the prompts), and the in-home experience (creating 2d and 3d floorplans showing where the products would be within the space).
